Rev. Willis J Farrington
Rev. Willis Junior Farrington is the youngest of nine children born to the union of the late Lonnie Junior Brown and Callie Agnes Farrington.
Born and raised in Chapel Hill, NC.
On September 20, 1986 he married his wife of 37 years (Min. Sharon Farrington). From this union they have two daughters. Min. Crystal Farrington Marrow and Courtney Farrington. Two loving granddaughters; Daj`shia and Aniya Farrington.
In 1974, Rev. Farrington began his collegiate studies at Quinnipiac University in Hamden CT. In 1975, he enrolled at Spartanburg Methodist College, in Spartanburg, S.C., then transferred to North Carolina Central University where he received a B.A. Degree in Sociology and a minor in Psychology in May 1979
2010 he was approved by the 4th quarterly conference and License as an Exhorter,
On May 23, 2011 he was Ordained and License with Biblical Theology training from World Christianship Ministries in Fresno, Ca.
In 2012 he was admitted on trial as a Local Preacher by the Late Bishop Thomas L. Hoyt, at the 142nd Carolina Regional Annual Conference,
In 2016 he was ordained as a Traveling Deacon by Bishop James B. Walker at the 146th Carolina Regional Annual Conference, in Durham, N.C.
In 2017 Rev. Farrington received a Certificate of Training in Clinical Pastoral Education, from the National Institute for Human Development Academy for Theology at the CME Unity Summit, in Atlanta, Ga.
In 2018 Rev. Farrington was Ordained as a Traveling Elder by Bishop James B. Walker, at the 148th Carolina Regional Annual Conference in Columbia S.C.

In August 2019 Rev. Farrington enrolled in an advance unit of Accredit Clinical Pastoral Education at UNC Hospital Trauma Center on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated December 2019,
During this time he worked as a Chaplain and was engaged at the highest level of Grief Counseling and Pastoral Care with families, patients, doctors and care givers.
In 2020 Rev. Farrington was appointed Pastor of Saint Paul CME Church in Halifax, Va. by Bishop James B. Walker in the New York / Washington/ Virginia Regional Annual Conference.
On July 25, 2022 Rev. Farrington was admitted into Full Connection at the 150th Carolina Regional Annual Conference by Bishop James B. Walker.
On July 17, 2024, Rev. Farrington was appointed Pastor of Prince Chapel CME Church in New Hill, N.C. by Bishop James B. Walker, at the Carolina Regional Annual Conference.
Rev. Farrington has worked with various communities and civic organizations throughout the Durham, Research Triangle Park, and Chapel Hill – Carrboro area.
He served as Director of Omega Champs Mentoring Programs in Raleigh, NC helping stir young black youth in a positive manner within their communities.
He served as Co-Chairman of The Board of Directors for The Marion Cheek Jackson Center who primary purpose was to preserve Black History and assisting Black families in attaining affordable Housing in the Chapel Hill- Carrboro area.
A member of the local branch of NAACP and a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.
